Marc Brew dance show “Nocturne” now at Newhampton Arts Centre 12 noon and 1 pm

Carnival Procession is at Newhampton Arts Centre
The Carnival procession is going ahead this Saturday morning, but is no longer taking place in Wolverhamptons Town Centre. All the activity planned along Dudley Street and Mander Centre is now taking place at Newhampton.
This decision follows advice from Mander Centre and from the Police.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday to celebrate the good things that are happening in Wolverhampton.

Program for afternoon £1 admission for audiences, BSL Interpretation

The First UK Disability Film Festival kick starts local disability arts activity

Please download the Film Festival program please check with the venue first as there are venue variations in the program to enable local events and activity. Have a look at the Film Festival Website.  In the Black Country the Film Festival is on Dec 3rd at the Public West Bromwich and at The Lighthouse in Wolverhampton. Working Parts are supporting the Wolverhampton Disability Network to create a banner representing disability groups. An artist will be running workshops with groups the first one kicks off at Action for Independence on Albert Road on the 8th November from 10 – 12. The morning is an opportunity for everyone involved to design the banner, which will then be taken to different groups around Wolverhampton. There will be a workshop about banner and slogan making on December 3rd at The lighthouse in the morning, contact Kevin Bailey (disabilitynetwork@onevoice.org.uk) for more information. There will also be Wolverhamptons Disability Choir called “Expressions” at lunchtime.  On December 3rd in West Bromwich at the public group of artists are creating a gathering of artists with an interest in disability and mental health awareness. see The Window blog post.
