Hi Ruth and all, I have lots of ideas for activities which the teachers could develop if we do go with the fairy/magical approach for the workshop.

I am concerned about the nursery and key stage one children’s comprehension of the Superhero concept. I suggest a fairytale/magical approach. How does everyone else feel? I have magic wands and a soft bodied fairy doll which I could use like a question and response medium. How do my group feel about this?
Yes that sounds good to me, we can play around with signs that relate fairytale/magic, then create movement and feelings from that. Maybe ask them how they think a fairy/magical creature would move and what super powers they would they have. Maybe we could talk with robin about making a song about a fairytale and then translating in sign/movement. And get claude to make something fairylike?
